Oregon WARN rules

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the federal WARN Act generally covers employers with 100 or more employees and requires at least 60 calendar days of written notice before a plant closing or mass layoff. In Oregon, notices go to the state Rapid Response program run by the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC), which lists each one with the notification date, the type of layoff, the city and the number of workers.

The Oregon list also includes smaller layoffs that employers report to Rapid Response, labeled as small layoffs.
